GCRadix Showcase

The showcase features a variety of audio system demonstrations, each exhibiting different complexities that we are eager to present. While our systems can be swiftly ported to other game engines and middlewares, we opted for Unity and FMOD to cater to web browser accessibility.

Limitations

Given our goal of delivering the application through a browser, we acknowledge that there are certain limitation, when it comes to performance. Furthermore FMOD has limitations with plugins in WebGL builds. This aspect is something we are actively addressing for future enhancements.

Current Features

We already have a small selection to display. We are already working on more features and improving our current ones.

The Radio

In the main scene, you can enjoy our curated music selection on the radio.

Dynamic Reverb

Similar to Bubblespace, our dynamic reverb system is listener-centric. As you explore the scene, the system autonomously estimates room size, absorption, and openness, enabling the calculation of reverb and early reflection time. These calculated values will then drive a reverb effect.

To explore the nuances in reverb, feel free to clap at any time.

Spot System

As an integral part of our broader ambience system, the spot system allows you to tag objects with specific parameters such as biome and more fauna-specific tags like "flower" or "tree." When executed effectively, this system automatically constructs entire ambiences based on your location and surrounding objects.

Future Work

We are committed to a continuous evolution of our showcase, regularly adding new levels and refining existing ones. Stay tuned for posts that will delve into some of the systems we develop.
